Think About It Thursday - Applying For a Full-Time Job IS a Full Time Job

It's Thursday!!! Which means it's time for a roundtable discussion about careers.

It seems that in order to secure a job nowadays, you need to have a little more tenacity than the average girl and a little more of a backup plan than that of your school's career center.

Besides looking to online websites such as Monster.com, Indeed.com, and USAJobs.gov, here are some sites that I have found particularly uplifting and effective for the job search.  These sites provide daily inspiration; tips on salary;  workplace etiquette; and information on networking events across the country.

1) Career Contessa

Career Contessa is an online platform dedicated to the promotion and the uplifting of women everywhere.  Weekly, they update the stories of various professionals, celebrities, and entrepreneurs; share exhilarating articles about resources and career advancement; and inspire women to thrive.  Along with these stories they have a list of vacancies available to job-seekers across the nation:

2) Intern Queen

Lauren Berger created InterQueen.com to help young people jumpstart their careers.  The blog content is dedicated to and composed by University students.  Topics include everything from email signatures to how to be productive during the holiday season.  The site also hosts a database of employers and internships:

Her Agenda is a digital discovery tool that helps millennial women find opportunities, inspiration, and information.  Along with providing informative pieces on salary negotiation and career strategizing, Her Agenda lists networking events that take place across the nation.  The website also lists a directory of organizations and associations that are heavily involved with the Her Agenda Platform:
